The most charming place in all of Sequoia National Park is the Zone. It is a necessary trip in every sense of the word and is a symbol of the American family vacation.
At eighty-four meters high and thirty-one meters wide, this enormous tree is the largest plant life on the planet and is more than two millennia old. ¿Interesting, right?
A simple 0.8 kilometer round-trip country trail leads from the parking spot to the General Sherman Tree. Allow approximately 45 minutes to move from one side to the other.

The Congressional Trail begins near the General Sherman Tree and leads into the heart of this spectacular forest.

If you want to learn more about the giant sequoia you simply have to visit this small museum.

#4 – Big Tree Trail
This easy 2.4 km walk. (1 hour circuit) begins at the Giant Forest Museum.
In fact, it’s like an extension of the museum with its many interpretive exhibits on the natural history of the giant sequoia.
#5 – Moro Rock
Climb 400 steps to the top of this bald granite dome for spectacular views of the mountains.
It is a great vantage point over the Sierra Nevada as it crosses the sky with its 4,000 meter peaks.
Visibility is best if you climb Moro Rock early in the morning or on a cooler day.
Allow about 30 minutes for this scenic walk.
#6- Tunnel diary
This giant sequoia, which fell across the road, was carved to allow cars to drive through it .
You get a very good idea of the size of these trees!
It is an interesting curiosity that makes original photos.
#7 – Crescent Meadow
This easy 2 mile (1 hour loop) trail winds through an alpine meadow surrounded by redwoods.
You will find 2 curiosities along the route.
First, you will encounter Tharp’s Diary , a beautiful small cabin built directly into the trunk of a fallen tree and the oldest cabin in the park.
Second, take the small detour to Chimney Tree and sit inside the tree to meditate for a bit. Another great spot for some great photos!
#8 – The Crystal Cave
This limestone maze is among the most coveted secrets of Sequoia National Park. There are 45-minute supervised tours that are available, however admissions cannot be purchased at the cave admission booth. Remember that you must purchase your tickets in advance at the Lodgepole admission point or the Foothills admission point.
This trip is aimed at people of all ages and family groups.
For those who are more interested in getting to know the cave in depth, there is another type of guided tour that goes deeper into the interior of the cave. PS- Don’t forget your jacket, because the temperature in the cave is never above 10 degrees Celsius.
